Bridgerton Seasons 3 And 4 Renewed By Netflix

Bridgeton Season 2 Release Date

It’s been revealed that Netflix has renewed Bridgerton for Seasons 3 and 4, which is sort of unprecedented for the streaming platform.

This news came straight from the horse’s mouth so to speak. Or in other words, it was revealed by Netflix themselves.

We already broke the story that Bridgerton Season 2 had been given the go-ahead by Netflix a long time back.

It seems as though Netflix really believes that this show will do incredibly well for them.

The first season was already a huge success and one of the most-streamed original shows on Netflix.

People also fell in love with Régé-Jean Page who played the Duke of Hastings in the first season.

Now, it has been revealed that he won’t be in Season 2 of Bridgerton and that’s because his character isn’t in Julia Quinn’s second book in the series.

It was to be expected, yet people are losing their respective minds over the fact that Page won’t be in Bridgerton Season 2.

Will he be in season 3 or 4 of the show? I’m not so sure.

As far as I’m aware, the Duke’s story is basically finished, which means that new actors will be coming into the show.

I’m sure there’ll be new characters and actors to fall in love with.

It also seems as though Page’s career has been catapulted into the stratosphere thanks to this Netflix show.

Bela Bajaria, VP, Global TV over at Netflix said:

Bridgerton swept us off our feet. The creative team, led by Shonda, knew the material and delivered a beautiful, emotional, romantic drama for our members. They have some exciting plans for the future, and we think audiences will continue to swoon for this show. We’re planning to be in the Bridgerton business for a long time to come.

Bridgerton’s creator, Shonda Rhimes, said:

From the first time I read Julia Quinn’s delicious Bridgerton series, I knew these were stories that would captivate a viewing audience. But the evolution of this adaptation would not be a success without the many significant contributions of the entire Shondaland team. This two-season pickup is a strong vote of confidence in our work and I feel incredibly grateful to have partners as collaborative and creative as Netflix. Betsy and I are thrilled to have the opportunity to continue bringing the world of Bridgerton to a worldwide audience.
