Scream 5 Has Finished Filming And Will Be Released In January 2022

It’s been revealed that Scream 5 has now finished filming and will be coming out in January 2022 – January 14th, 2022 to be precise. This news was revealed by Bloody Disgusting, who also revealed that the movie still doesn’t have an official title.

This movie has been on my radar now for quite some time. I’m a huge fan of the Scream franchise and Wes Craven is one of my favourite filmmakers. I was genuinely distraught when I heard about his passing.

However, it seems as though his legacy will live on. That legacy is not only the incredible number of brilliant horror movies but also the Scream franchise, which was very much a part of him.

Scream 5 has now wrapped filming, which is good news considering we’re in the midst of a global pandemic. It seems that even Coronavirus can’t stop the Ghostface killer from brutally murdering unsuspecting teenagers.

There were a small number of COVID-19 cases on the film’s set – mostly amongst members of the crew. However, they were only in the first week or two of filming, and the numbers were kept under control.

All we have to do now is wait for them to edit Scream 5, and hopefully, we’ll be in for a real treat in January 2022. We know that Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courtney Cox are all returning in their respective roles.

Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Dylan Minnette, Mason Gooding, Kyle Gallner, Jack Quaid, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mikey Madison and Marley Shelton also have roles in the movie. Guy Busick, who worked on Ready Or Not, co-wrote the script with James Vanderbilt.

Scream 5 is being directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who also directed Ready Or Not.
