According to CNN, Foxx was in Atlanta for Netflix’s Back In Action when the emergency situation happened. Although the specific occurrence did not take place while the actor was shooting. His daughter Corrine recently shared the family statement:

We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.

The health incident stopped the shoot for Back in Action last April 12th. The next day, the shoot resumed with a stand-in for the actor.

As the family wishes not to disclose the specific condition the actor is going through, they assure fans and followers that Foxx is on the mend. Most likely that the family, and perhaps Foxx himself, do not wish to expound on the condition and focus on Jamie Foxx’s recovery.

No other information is shared as to whether the actor’s recuperation period will affect the rest of the production of Netflix’s Back In Action. IMDb lists the project to be already in post-production thus, fans assume that the actor is able to finish his character’s principal photography.
