Sam Raimi Has Chosen A Director To Helm The Evil Dead 4 Movie

It was revealed a while back that there’s an Evil Dead 4 movie coming and Sam Raimi has now revealed that he’s chosen a director to helm the film.

It’s been a while since we got the last Evil Dead movie.

The movie was actually called Army of Darkness, not Evil Dead 3, and it was arguably one of the best movies in the Evil Dead trilogy.

However, we did get a series called Ash Vs. The Evil Dead, which was brilliant.

But, it was very sadly cancelled before its time and Bruce Campbell has been trying to get another movie made ever since.

It looks like he’s succeeded as Cambell revealed that the movie is happening and that Sam Raimi’s found a director for it.

Campbell revealed this during a recent interview with Empire in which he claimed Raimi had ‘hand-picked’ Lee Cronin to direct the movie.

Here’s what Campbell told the movie-centric publication:

It’s called Evil Dead Now. Sam handpicked Lee – he did a cool movie called The Hole in the Ground. We’re going to get that sucker out as soon as practical.

From this point forward, they kind of have to stand on their own. Which is fine. And liberating. You could have different heroes, different heroines in this case. This one’s gonna be a little more dynamic. We just want to keep the series current. And the mantra, really, is that our heroes and heroines are just regular people. That’s what we’re going to continue.
