Deadpool 3 In The Works At Disney With The Molyneux Sisters Writing The Script

It’s been revealed that Deadpool 3 is now officially in the works over at Disney and the Ryan Reynolds film now has The Molyneux Sisters on-board to pen the film’s script. This news comes from Deadline, who also claims that the movie will be R-rated.

The outlet revealed that Disney and Ryan Reynolds had been holding writer meetings for the past month. They’ve met with a whole load of new writers to hear their pitches for Deadpool 3.

Reynolds and Disney ended up deciding on The Molyneux Sisters, so they must have been very impressed by their idea for the third instalment in the Deadpool franchise. The film is currently in early development, but getting writers on-board is the first hurdle to get over.

Fans are very excited by the idea of a Deadpool movie being made with Kevin Feige as a producer. He’ll be overseeing the project, and it will be the first-ever R-rated Marvel Studios movie.

They also added that as it stands David Leitch will not be returning to direct the third Deadpool film as his schedule is really busy now. However, they added that the door is open for him to return.

As for The Molyneux Sisters, they were showrunners and executive producers of the new Fox series The Great North, which is set to premiere in February and has already been renewed for a second season. They were also the writers and executive producers for Bob’s Burgers on Fox. They won an Emmy in 2017 for that show and have been nominated for an Emmy for eight consecutive years.
