It’s been revealed that Spider-Man Noire is going to be getting his own live-action series on Amazon Prime Video, which is very interesting news indeed. Spider-Man Noire became pretty popular with audiences when he was included in the Sony Pictures animated movie, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse.

In the movie, the character was voiced by Nicolas Cage, and he’s actually been very vocal about wanting to come back to voice the role again. He said this after it was revealed that the character is not going to be in Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse, much to our disappointment.

Cage voiced the character perfectly and it’s a bit odd that they opted not to bring him back for the sequel. However, maybe one of the reasons why they didn’t bring him into the movie was because they had bigger plans for the character. We’re just going to have to wait and see.

So, what’s going on with this Spider-Man Noire series, and who’s involved? The series is in development for Amazon, which means it should be coming to Prime Video. It was revealed that Phil Lord and Chris Miller are involved with the project.

They are the directors of Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse and the upcoming Across The Spider-Verse. The live-action series will be written by Oren Uziel, a big-screen writer who worked on the Sandra Bullock-Channing Tatum action comedy The Lost City and 2021’s Mortal Kombat.

Chris Miller and Phil Lord brought the Spider-Man Noir character onto screens, and they are now helping to develop the series with Uziel and will executive produce the series via their Lord Miller banner. Amy Pascal, who has a hand in all of Sony’s Spider-Man adaptations, is also executive producing, as will Uziel.

Could there be any other live-action Spider-Man shows in the works?

I have to say, even though I haven’t been overly thrilled with what Sony has done with some of their Marvel properties in the recent past – I’m thinking of the Venom and Morbius movies – I have liked what they’ve done with Spider-Man.

The recent live-action Spider-Man films have been pretty darn good, and the animated Spider-Verse movie was one of the best big-screen adaptations of the character I’ve ever seen. I think that Lord and Miller’s involvement in this new Spider-Man Noire live-action series is a very good thing.

They seem to have a deep understanding of Spider-Man, which has resulted in one of the best Spider-Man movies we’ve ever seen. We still don’t know anything about casting for this new series. It’ll be interesting to see who they end up casting as Spider-Man Noire in this new series.

This comes after it was revealed that Sony is already developing a series based on Silk. This series is going to be helmed by The Walking Dead showrunner Angela Kang. The series is called Silk: Spider Society. I’m sure they have many other Spider-Man adjacent properties in development behind the scenes.
