The Walking Dead Will End With Season 12 As AMC Gives The Show Two More Seasons

It’s been revealed that The Walking Dead Season 12 will be the show’s very last as AMC has agreed to carry on the show for only two more seasons.

This news originally came from We Got This Covered’s sources who claimed that AMC had agreed to giving the show two more seasons.

They claimed that AMC would then end the show, and it would give the show’s writers enough time to finish up the story nicely.

I wasn’t so sure about this news and thought that WGTC might have been making things up (again).

However, I then reached out to an AMC representative I’ve worked closely with over the years, and she told me that there are plans to end the show within the next five years.

Here’s what they told me: “The Walking Dead has been one of AMC’s most successful shows ever since it debuted back in 2010.

“I can neither confirm nor deny the rumours that the show will end with Season 12.

“The show has been incredibly popular and successful and has had two spinoff shows with Fear The Walking Dead and the upcoming The Walking Dead: World Beyond.”

They then added: “However, I can confirm that there are plans to finish the main show within the next five years.”

It was revealed a few days ago that The Walking Dead Season 10’s finale had been pushed back due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Hopefully things will get back on track soon enough and we can have plenty more The Walking Dead goodness in the years to come.

In a similar way to “Lost” which I also loved, TWD has gone on too long imho. Don’t get me wrong, it has been entertaining to watch but the but is, I feel that the original concept has been over stretched and fans perhaps wanted some kind of closure?! Hopefully we’ll all find out where Rick Grimes went, when he was hoisted away in a helicoptor?! We’ll have to wait and see! Thanks to all TWD team, your hard work and effort has been greatly appreciated – Well done!
Stay safe and God bless. x

I have been a very big fan of the walking dead. When I saw the very first show I didn’t know it was going to be a series. I was delighted to find out it was. I am going to miss the show very much, but I am excited to know there is an ending. Thank you all for the past 10 seasons and please stay safe. God bless you all.
