Ben Affleck has confirmed that The Flash will be the last time he’ll don Batman’s cape and cowl.
Speaking with The Herald Sun (via Comic Book), about his new film The Tender Bar, Affleck confirmed The Flash will mark his final appearance as Batman in the DCEU.
Affleck has played Bruce Wayne/Batman in the DCEU since 2016’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Following the release of the theatrical cut of Justice League, it looked as though Affleck’s time as the Caped Crusader was done.
Yet, after shooting additional scenes for Zack Snyder’s Justice League, he will get one more chance to shine in this year’s The Flash.
Affleck revealed that The Flash contains some of his favourite scenes:
I have never said this — this is hot off the presses — but maybe my favorite scenes in terms of Batman and the interpretation of Batman that I have done, were in the Flash movie.

Affleck went on to state how he hoped his final appearance as Batman will go down on screen:
I hope they maintain the integrity of what we did because I thought it was great and really interesting — different, but not in a way that is incongruent with the character. Who knows? Maybe they will decide that it doesn’t work, but when I went and did it, it was really fun and really, really satisfying and encouraging and I thought, ‘Wow — I think I have finally figured it out.
He concluded that he hopes The Flash will be:
A really nice finish on my experience with that character.”.
We hope that Affleck’s able to go out on a high note with his final performance in this role.
The Flash arrives in cinemas on November 4 2022.
