Critics are claiming that Mads Mikkelsen is better in Fantastic Beasts 3 than Johnny Depp ever was as Grindelwald in the franchise.

Variety pointed this out in a recent article and it has to be said that I am not surprised to hear this.

Interestingly enough, the movie hasn’t been doing brilliantly with critics if you’re to look at its score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The movie launched on Rotten Tomatoes with a 59% from 39 reviews, which isn’t that good at all.

However, nearly every critic is in agreement that Mads Mikkelsen is a vast improvement over Johnny Depp as Grindelwald.

The movie’s now gone up slightly to 61% with critics on Rotten Tomatoes after 61 reviews.

So, it seems as though the later reviews have been slightly more positive about the new Fantastic Beasts 3 movie.

I remember when it was announced that Warner Bros. Pictures had removed Johnny Depp from the movie.

I thought it was really harsh and not what Warners should have done.

However, I will say that I thought the casting of Mikkelsen in the role of Grindelwald made a lot more sense.

Warner Bros. Pictures should have cast him in the role to begin with.

Well, it looks like critics agree and thought that he was great in the movie!
