It’s now being rumoured that Colin Farrell could be playing The Penguin again in The Batman spinoff movies and TV shows. This rumour comes to us from We Got This Covered.

Now, I know that We Got This Covered’s record is rather patchy, however, it does make sense that Warner Bros. Pictures might want to get Colin Farrell to play The Penguin again after Matt Reeves’ The Batman.

The thing I’m not so sure about is that they would want him to star as The Penguin in the character’s own spinoff movie. I suppose we’ll know more about this when The Batman is finally released (in cinemas, hopefully).

Here’s what We Got This Covered had to say about Colin Farrell playing The Penguin again in The Batman spinoff movies and TV shows:

According to our intel, Farrell’s Oz is set to become a recurring character in an expanding universe, one that’ll also include the HBO Max prequel series, which makes sense give that we know The Batman has already been pegged as an origin story of sorts for Penguin, Riddler and Catwoman.

So, it sounds like Colin Farrell will be turning up a number of times – in future movies and the DC Comics shows that are coming to HBO Max. This is something that I do like the sound of and makes sense.
