Wonder Woman 1984 Might A Straight To Digital Release Due To Coronavirus Pandemic

It’s being reported that Warner Bros. Pictures might be considering releasing Wonder Woman 1984 straight to digital release due to Coronavirus.

The news comes from The Wrap who reported that Warner Bros. Pictures is now seriously considering skipping Wonder Woman 1989’s theatrical release.

The reason they are considering this is because of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The pandemic has caused literally everything to grind to a halt.

This has lead to basically all movies being delayed and some have been released on-demand early.

The Wrap added that Warner Pictures chair Toby Emmerich has started to discuss the potential of switching the release of Wonder Woman 1984straight to digital with his advisors.

However, they also note that other executives at Warner Bros. told the publication that they are going to release the movie theatrically.

“We’re looking to release the movie theatrically, that’s our plan,” Warner’s domestic distribution head Jeff Goldstein told the trade.

The movie’s producer, Charles Roven, added: “It’s ludicrous if you consider how big a movie this is.”

“Everybody recognizes that, as interesting as streaming might be, if you want a huge, global worldwide box office, you’ve got to release it in a movie theatre.”

We’re just going to have to wait and see what will happen with Wonder Woman 1984’s release.
