Which Marvel Heroes And Characters Will Die In Avengers: Infinity War?

With Avengers: Infinity War just around the corner, it’s time to speculate on who will live to see another movie and who die in what promises to be the most blood-thirsty movie in the MCU so far.

Thanos is finally being unleashed onto the Avengers in Infinity War. They’ve been teasing him for so long now, and finally, Josh Brolin will get his chance to flex his CGI acting muscles and show us why he’s the Marvel villain we’ve all be waiting for. Up until this point, Marvel’s villains haven’t been that, shall we say spectacular. Tom Hiddleston’s Loki has easily been leading the pack, although Micheal B. Johnson’s Killmonger was very impressive in Black Panther. But sadly, he’s not in the picture anymore (SPOILERS, sorry, not sorry).

However, Avengers: Infinity War promises to be a real wake up call for many members of the Avengers team, and for one, or even some of them it’ll the end. So, I’m going to go through each member of Marvel’s, as Deadpool would say “super-duper fucking group” of superheroes and give them “safe”, “not-so-safe”, “really-not-safe”, or “dead” ratings. So, here we go.

The Guardians of the Galaxy: Safe

I’ve decided to put all the members of the Guardians of the Galaxy as safe. So that’s Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana’s Gamora, Bradley Cooper’s Rocket, Dave Bautista’s Drax the Destroyer, Vin Diesel’s Groot, Karen Gillan’s Nebula and Pom Klementieff’s Mantis.

There are many reasons why I think they’ll end up pretty much unscathed, however, the main reason is that I can’t see them all coming back for the final movie in the Guardians trilogy. We’ve also only recently begun to know them, so I think that they’ll all be OK. I also believe that Pratt’s Star-Lord will become a figurehead for the Avengers in the future.

Spider-Man: Safe

Much like the Guardians of the Galaxy, we’ve only recently been introduced to Tom Holland’s Peter Parker, a.k.a. Spider-Man, and I just cannot see them killing him off, especially since he’s got the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming coming up. There’s also the fact that Marvel has signed Holland for like a bazillion movie deal, so he’ll be sticking around for a while.

Doctor Strange: Safe

It’s pretty much the same case with Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange. We were introduced to him Steven Strange in 2016’s Doctor Strange and then we had a brief cameo in Thor: Ragnarok. But apart from that, we still know relatively little about the surgeon-turned-sorcerer, and we know he’ll be coming back in Doctor Strange 2, even though it hasn’t been officially announced yet.

Black Widow: Safe

Scarlett Johansson has been playing Black Widow for a while now (we first saw her in Iron Man 2), which might make most of you think that she’s up for the chop. However, she still hasn’t had her standalone movie, which we know is being talked about. That said, there is the possibility that they kill her off in this movie and then do a origins movie in which they show how Natasha Romanoff became the Black Widow we all know and love today. Yet, I don’t think they’ll do that, and I feel that Black Widow will make it through this first encounter with Thanos and his Infinity Gauntlet.

Black Panther: Safe

There’s no way they’re killing off T’Challa, the Black Panther, in Avengers: Infinity War. Certainly not after Ryan Coogler’s hugely successful Black Panther movie. The character was introduced in Captain America: Civil War, but Black Panther was his first solo movie, and we already know, thanks to Kevin Feige himself, that a sequel is happening. No, Black Panther will come out of this one alive and may even end up leading the Avengers in the fight to rid the universe of Thanos once and for all.

Ant-Man: Safe

OK, so Ant-Man is definitely safe, and it’s not just because his second solo film is coming out right after Avengers: Infinity War. It’s still unclear as to when Ant-Man And The Wasp takes place in relation to the Russo Brother’s film. I think that Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man is going to stick around for some time and that we’ll get to see an Ant-Man trilogy. I’m not even sure how involved he’ll be in the movie. We’ve seen Paul Rudd suited up as Ant-Man on set, but he’s been conspicuously absent from Infinity War’s trailers. Whatever happens, I do not believe for one second that we’ll be mourning his death after this movie. It would be strange to see him die in Infinity War and then follow that up immediately with his standalone film.
