When Will Wonder Woman 1984’s Trailer Be Released?

Wonder Woman 1984 is easily my most anticipated DC Comics movie of 2020, but we still haven’t seen a trailer for the Patty Jenkins directed movie.

When will we get to see Wonder Woman 1984’s very first trailer?

Well, that’s not an easy question to ask because DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures don’t have what you might call a fixed schedule for when they release trailers and promotional material for their upcoming movies.

They used to do everything at San Diego Comic-Con. They would release trailers, posters, release dates, even sometimes they would release behind-the-scenes footage.

But now that Warner Bros. Pictures has taken a step back from San Diego Comic-Con it makes it much harder to predict when we might get to see the next trailer for one of the upcoming DC Comics movies.

Wonder Woman 1984 is currently set to hit cinemas on June 5th, 2020, and some people might have expected to see something from the movie.

We’ve had a poster and a couple of images, but that’s basically it.

We did get a plot leaked online after it was reported the film had multiple test screenings, and the reactions coming out of those screenings have mixed.

I’ve heard some people claiming the movie was a joy and a wonderful adventure film, and others claiming it was a bit of a train wreck of a film.

Now, I don’t tend to pay much attention to test screening reactions. Take Wonder Woman for example. It was revealed that the film tested rather poorly with test screening audiences before it was released.

The film was then released to the general public, and people love it. It is still to this day one of, if not the best film in the DCEU.

So, I hope you’ll forgive me for not paying much attention to these reported test screening reactions.

But, it is still quite strange that we haven’t had a trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 yet.

It’s almost the end of 2019, and the film is gearing up to be one of DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures’ biggest releases of 2020.

We’ve also already had trailers for Margot Robbie’s Birds of Prey movie.

Granted, that film will be coming out earlier than Wonder Woman 1984 (it hits cinemas on February 7th, 2020 in the UK), but still, a little teaser trailer would be nice.

I think that Warner Bros is going to wait until about eight to six months before the film is set to hit theatres to release the first trailer.

This means that they could very well wait until Birds of Prey is in cinemas, which makes sense.

Get people excited for Birds of Prey, and they get then excited for Wonder Woman 1984 when they’re about to watch the Margot Robbie-led DC Comics movie.

This means that Wonder Woman fans might have to wait until February to see the first Wonder Woman 1984 trailer, which is a long time to wait, but hopefully, it’ll be worth it.

However, there have been reports that Wonder Woman 1984’s trailer could be released on December 8th, 2019.

We might get to see Wonder Woman 1984’s trailer as soon as December

This comes after it was reported that Gal Gadot will be present at Comic Con Experience in São Paulo, Brazil, and will premiere the trailer there.

This event has hosted a number of major San Diego Comic-Con-level launches over the past couple of years.

So, we could be seeing the first Wonder Woman 1984 trailer very soon indeed, which is wonderful news.

It’s also since been announced that Warner Bros. Pictures will live stream the event on Twitter, which means people the world over will be able to watch the trailer at the same time as the people at the event.

That’s always a nice touch when they do that because as San Diego Comic-Con they tend to make sure the trailers are only seen by the people attending the event.
