6 Things That Will Happen In Stranger Things Season 3

Stranger Things season 3 is with us and before watching it, we decided to try and predict what would happen in this season.

Stranger Things season 3 has landed on Netflix today and fans across the globe have been looking forward to this new season for quite some time.

With the release of the new season, we thought it would be a good time to go over what could happen in the upcoming season of the hit TV show.

Everyone will be back to fight whatever creature has managed to escape from the Upside Down, and it looks like fans of the show are in for something quite special.

So, without further ado, here are 6 things we’re pretty certain will happen in Stranger Thing season 3.

6. The Upside Down Will Take Over

The last trailer for Stranger Things season 3 has teased that something has remained in the real world despite Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) having closed the gate in the previous season.

What that creature is exactly remains to be seen, but it doesn’t sound very friendly at all and it’ll undoubtedly end up being the tough challenge the Stranger Things crew have ever faced, which is certainly saying something.

5. Billy Will Be Possessed By Something From The Upside Down

A lot of the promotional material for Stranger Things season 3 has focussed on Billy Hargrove (Jason Lee Scott), and the final trailer teased that he would end up being possessed by the creature who’s managed to somehow stay in the real world.

As of yet, it’s uncertain how Billy will factor into the creature’s plans, but it certainly looks like it’ll result in some rather terrifying scenes of possession, not unlike the classic horror film, The Exorcist.

4. One Of The Adults Will Die

There have been two seasons of Stranger Things now and one thing’s glaringly obvious: nobody has died yet (apart from Barb), and it’s about time that one of the main characters ends up kicking the proverbial bucket.

My money is on one of the adults dying in season 3. So either Jim Hopper (David Harbour) or Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) could end up being killed off in the upcoming season.

Personally, I see Jim dying over Joyce. Perhaps in a moment of heroism in order to save the others.

3. Eleven Will Sacrifice Herself

Eleven’s been the focal point of the show up until now, and after season 1 it wasn’t certain whether she’d come back or not.

Season 2 revealed that she was still alive and living with Jim, who somehow knew that she was still alive.

She is very much the glue that keeps everybody together and the world’s best defence against the terrors of The Upside Down.

However, I wouldn’t be surprised to see her attempting to sacrifice herself again in order to save her friends. She’s done it before. It stands to reason that she would try to do it again.

That said, I highly doubt she’ll die as a result since she is the show’s biggest pull.

2. Jim And Joyce Will End Up Together

The whole ‘will-they-won’t-they’ thing between Jim and Joyce has gone on for quite some time and now.

I think they should just get together already, preferably before one of them gets killed off.

I love both characters and they clearly have both a past and a connection, and I also think they’d make a great couple.

1. Dustin Will Do Something Stupid

Dustin in Stranger Things

Now, this one’s a pretty obvious prediction. Dustin Henderson (Gaten John Matarazzo III) does something utterly stupid every season.

Last season was a particularly low point for the character when he thought it would be a great idea to befriend a rather disgusting looking slug-creature which was so obviously from The Upside Down.

It almost killed him, his family and his friends. That said, it did leave them alone towards the end of the season, which could be due to Dustin having taken care of him.

Whatever the case, Dustin always messes things up somehow and he’s bound to again in season 3.
