Watch Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse’s Brilliantly Fun New Trailer

Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse already looked like a lot of fun, and now there’s another new trailer which has us even more excited to see this animated Spider-Man adventure.

Spider-Man is in a very good place right now, which is mad considering how poor Spider-Man 3, The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 were. For a while there it looked like we were never going to get another good Spider-Man on the big screen. But then Tom Holland’s version of the character swung in in Captain America: Civil War and that was followed by the brilliant Spider-Man: Homecoming. Marvel got their hands back on the Spider-Man property and made the Spider-Man we’d all been waiting for.

However, it looks like we’re going to get even more Spidey goodness with the animated movie, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, which will introduce us to the Miles Morales version of the web-slinger. He’s an Afro-Latino teenager, and the second person to take on the mantle of Spider-Man after Peter Parker. He was in part inspired by Donald Glover, but unfortunately, the actor/musician/comedian will not be voicing the character in this movie. That honour fell to Shameik Moore (Dope, The Get Down), who’s just as good a choice as any.

Moore will be joined by the likes of New Girl’s Jake Johnson, who’s voicing the alternate version of Spider-Man, otherwise known as Peter Parker, Liev Schreiber, Hailee Steinfeld (as Spider-Gwen, who we get to see in this new trailer), Mahershala Ali, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, and Lily Tomlin.

The plot will revolve around Miles who finds himself in the ‘Spider-Verse’, where multiple versions of Spider-Man reside, and he’ll have to learn how to use his powers and become the Spider-Man he was always meant to be.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is set to hit theatres (that’s right, it’s coming to cinemas!) on December 14th. Are you ready for it? I know I am!
