Warner Bros Thinking Of Casting Michael B. Jordan As Superman With J.J. Abrams To Direct

There are rumours circling around the web that Warner Brothers might be looking at Michael B. Jordan to be the next Superman after it was reported that he pitched a new Man of Steel movie to them.

The state of Superman has been in a state of flux ever since Justice League was released.

It really does look like Warner Brothers doesn’t know what to do with the DC Comics character, and it’s sounding like they’ve run out of ideas.

However, the character might have been given a new lease of life thanks to Michael B. Jordan or all people.

It’s been reported by Variety that the actor had a meeting with Warner Brothers in which he pitched them a new Man of Steel movie, and the rumours are that they liked it.

Their report explains how the movie studio feels like they’ve struggled to make Superman relevant for today’s audiences after having rebooted the Superman franchise twice: once with Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) and then again with Henry Cavill (Man of Steel, Batman v Superman and Justice League).

Should Michael B. Jordan get to play Superman in another Man of Steel movie?

So, this is where Michael B. Jordan comes in. He apparently had a meeting with some people from Warner Bros. in which he pitched them an idea for a new Superman movie.

However, Variety clearly stated in this report that it’s highly unlikely that Jordan will play Superman in this potential movie because his schedule is just too full at the minute.

This is a shame because I’d love to see Jordan play Superman, yet it sounds like Warner Bros. does know who they want to direct the picture.

According to Variety, Warner Bros. is very interested in getting J.J. Abrams on board to direct, or at least be involved with it in some way.
