Christian Bale Might Play A Key Role In Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love And Thunder

Now, this would be huge if it happened. There are rumours circling around what’s known as the World Wide Web that Christian Bale could be about to be cast in a major role in Taika Waititi’s upcoming Marvel Studios movie, Thor: Love And Thunder.

Thor: Love And Thunder will see the likes of Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson and Waititi all return in their respective roles.

It’s also going to see Natalie Portman return as Jane Foster, but she’ll also be playing another version of Thor in the movie, and that in itself sounds very interesting.

However, according to Collider, Thor: Love And Thunder might also feature Christian Bale in what’s been described as a ‘key role’.

There are now rumours that Bale could be playing one of the film’s villains which would be very cool indeed and I think it’s about time he joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Bale has had a tendency of only doing ‘serious’ movies since his time playing Batman in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy.

He’s been in films such as American Hustle, Le Mans 66 (Ford v Ferrari in the US), Vice, The Big Short and The Fighter to name but a few of his more recent movies.

However, it sounds like the British actor is very keen on working with Waititi and that alone is a big enough pull for him to return to the blockbuster world.

The actor had revealed that he almost appeared in Solo: A Star Wars Story as he was also in talks to play Beckett, who was eventually played by Woody Harrelson.

I’m kind of glad he passed on that role, as it seems to have led us to the possibility of seeing Bale in a Marvel movie, which is something I never dreamt would have happened.
