The Witcher Season 1’s Featurette Sees Henry Cavill Explain Geralt Of Rivia’s Backstory

The Witcher Season 1 is coming to Netflix very soon and a lot of people – myself included – are getting very excited about the TV show which stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia.

This show is based on the best-selling fantasy series of books and they tell an epic tale of fate and family, and there are monsters and magic.

It does sound a lot like Game of Thrones, and people seem to be hoping that this upcoming Netflix TV series will be filling the large hole the HBO show has left in our lives.

Anyway, The Witcher intertwined the destinies of three individuals in the vast world of The Continent, where humans, elves, witchers, gnomes, and monsters battle to survive and thrive, and where good and evil is not easily identified.

Henry Cavill (Mission Impossible – Fallout, Man of Steel) plays the show’s lead, Geralt of Rivia, and he recently appeared in a featurette which was posted on Netflix’s YouTube channel.

In this featurette, the British actor explains what his character is all about in The Witcher.

He’s basically a Witcher, which Cavill refers to as a mutant who is able to do magic and take special potions.
