The Suicide Squad is out in cinemas right now and the reviews are coming in thick and fast, and they’re pretty darn good!

The new James Gunn movie has just been released and critics are calling it one of the best comic book movies made in a long time.

It seems as though Gunn has really smashed it out of the park with this one.

It’s so nice to see a DC Comics movie do well with critics.

I think the last time critics loved a DC Comics movie so much was when Christopher Nolan released The Dark Knight.

And, The Suicide Squad is currently beating The Dark Knight on Rotten Tomatoes, which is crazy!

The Suicide Squad has a higher rating on Rotten Tomatoes than The Dark Knight

The movie currently sits at 98% on Rotten Tomatoes.

However, when it was first released it was sitting at an impressive 100%.

That was after 47 reviews, and the critics really seemed to love the movie.

One critic wrote the following:

Enlivened by writer-director James Gunn’s singularly skewed vision, The Suicide Squad marks a funny, fast-paced rebound that plays to the source material’s violent, anarchic strengths.

So, the mark will undoubtedly go down over time – I mean, there’s even a negative review of Citizen Kane on the platform now.

However, it’s been receiving so well with the critics and outlets that really matter.

Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, The Independent, Empire, The LA Times… They all loved the movie.
