The Mandalorian’s Baby Yoda Has A Name Reveals Carl Weathers

The Mandalorian is streaming right now on Disney Plus and people seem to have lost their minds over one of the character’s in particular which they’ve started to call Baby Yoda.

It has become something of a pop culture icon and people really want to know what’s the deal with this new Star Wars character.

There’s something really special about this cute mini Yoda, but we’re all calling her (we found out it’s a she in the recent episode of The Mandalorian) ‘Baby Yoda’ which isn’t her actual name.

Here’s what The Mandalorian actor, Carl Weathers, had to say about the little guy (via That Hashtag Show):

You have to see the shows to figure out who this baby Yoda really is, and what he is all about, or even if he is really a baby Yoda. He has his own name, and he is very interesting and very knowledgeable and very cute. I never use that word, but he is a cute little guy.

Up until now, the only other character we’ve seen in the Star Wars universe which we know to be part of the same species as Yoda is Yaddle, and she was also a Jedi Knight.

So, this probably means that Baby Yoda will also end up being tied to the Jedi in some way, but we don’t know yet.

We already know that this mini Yoda and manipulate the Force thanks to the previous episode in which she helped out her Mandalorian friend in a rather heated battle with a dangerous creature.

The bottom line is that we’re just going to have to wait and see what Baby Yoda’s whole deal is.

What do you make of this news, and can you come up with a cool name for Baby Yoda? I quite like Yodella, but I’m sure you can come up with better ones.
