It’s been revealed recently that The Flash Season 9 is happening over at The CW with Grant Gustin returning as Barry Allen. So, I know that many of you will be wondering when the show’s release date will be on The CW. Other questions you might have could include who will be starring in it, and what could happen in the ninth season?
These are all questions I am going to try and answer in this article. I will warn you that not all the answers are out there at the moment.

It’s been revealed that Grant Gustin is indeed in talks with The CW to star in The Flash Season 9. It’s since been revealed that The Flash Season 9 is happening over at The CW. This was first reported by Deadline that Grant Gustin was in talks to return as Barry Allen for The Flash Season 9.
According to Deadline’s sources, Grant’s new contract could be a pretty big one. It’s believed that he could be getting a sizeable raise for Season 9. Gustin’s current is believed to just over $200,000 an episode. Deadline’s report also suggests that Gustin has capped his involvement at 15 episodes for Season 9.

We then reached out to Grant Gustin’s manager, Robert Stein, and he confirmed that Deadline’s report was indeed correct. Here’s what he had to tell us about Gustin’s contract negotiation talks with The CW for The Flash Season 9:
Yes, I can confirm we are in a current conversation with the studio on Grant returning to The Flash for a Season 9.
He then added:
Conversations are continuing in a positive way; but nothing conclusive yet.
Thankfully, The Flash Season 9 has been given the greenlight by The CW. OK, but what does this all mean? With all of this in mind, production on a ninth season of The Flash might not get underway until June or July this year. If this is the case, then it would mean that The Flash Season 9 should be airing in 2023. My best estimate would be that the season should be released in the middle of the year, but it all depends on when it goes into production.

The show was created by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, and Geoff Johns, and it became one of the most popular CW shows. The Flash is certainly the best of these DC Comics CW TV series. The series also stars Candice Patton, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Nicolet, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Jordan Fisher, Danielle Panabaker and Kayla Compton.
I would expect all of these actors to return for Season 9, and maybe even cameos from the likes of Tom Cavanagh and Carlos Valdes. They left the show as series regulars but should Season 9 be the show’s final season (which I have a sneaky suspicion it might be), then I’m certain that The CW would want them to return.
