This is a bit of fan-casting that I really like: Willem Dafoe as The Joker in Matt Reeves’ The Batman.
It turns out there are a lot of fans out there who really want to see the actor play the role in the upcoming movie.
This fan-casting has come after Dafoe himself revealed the screenwriter for Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman, Sam Hamm thought he had the right look for the role.
Willem Dafoe said: “Hamm said something about how physically I would be perfect for the part, but they never offered it to me.”
It’s such a shame they never offered Willem the role because I really do believe he would have been perfect for the role.
The role eventually went to Jack Nicholson and his performance has gone down in movie history.
However, he’s been eclipsed recently by Joaquin Phoenix and Heath Ledger’s recent turns as the DC Comics villain.
Fans have now revealed they would like to see Willem Dafoe get to play the role in Matt Reeves’ The Batman.
This would mean that he’d get to work with his colleague from his recent movie, The Lighthouse.

It would be marvellous to get to see Dafoe play The Joker in The Batman.
I’d love to see him act alongside Robert Pattinson again.

Honestly, it really would be perfect casting. Willem Dafoe has the perfect amount of creepiness to play the role.
I also think he’d have great fun with it.
It also seemed as though he enjoyed working with Pattinson.
