First Look At Colin Farrell As The Penguin On The Set Of The Batman

The Batman has just started filming in London and it looks like we may have had our first (very pixelated) look at Colin Farrell as The Penguin on set.

It looks like London is going to be doubling up as Gotham in Matt Reeves’ The Batman, and they’re currently filming some scenes in the UK’s rather wet capital city.

One eagle-eyed fan spotted them filming outside his office and took a few snaps of them at work, and it seems as though he managed to catch a very brief glimpse at Farrell all in costume as The Penguin.

I was already very excited to see what his version of the character would be, and judging by this zoomed-in shot, it looks like his Penguin will be more dapper and debonair than the ones we’ve become accustomed to in the past.

This Penguin isn’t anything like Oswald Cobblepot in Tim Burton’s Batman Returns or like the version of the character in the Gotham TV show.

No. Farrell’s version of the Penguin looks more like a rather fashionable banker in the city of London, which is an interesting way to take the character.

To be honest, I should have expected this would be the case what with Farrell playing the character.

However, he has completely changed his body for previous roles, and I was wondering whether he might do something similar for The Batman.

The Batman will also star Robert Pattinson as Batman, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Andy Serkis as Alfred, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, Paul Dano as The Riddler and John Turturro as Carmine Falcone.

Peter Sarsgaard and Jayme Lawson have also been cast in the movie, but it’s not yet known who they’re going to be playing in the DC Comics film.
