Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker’s New Poster Teases The Return Of The Empire

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker isn’t too far off from being released in cinemas, and we now have a new poster and it seems to be teasing the return of the Empire.

The poster itself is beautiful. It shows Po Dameron’s X-Wing on its own in front of a whole fleet of Star Destroyers.

These Star Destoyers are what’s really interesting about this poster. If you look closely, you’ll realise that they belong to the Empire, not the First Order.

They’ve all got a rather cool red stripe on the front, which seems to indicate to me that this fleet belongs to another group, possibly the remanence of the Empire.

I’m thinking that these Star Destroyers could be part of Palpatine’s Empire which have been in hiding for years and have now decided to show themselves.

This means that the film is likely to feature the Resistance, the First Order and the return of the Empire. It’s quite literally a case of the Empire striking back, which sounds pretty cool to me.

There’s just one thing that’s making me question this theory, and it has to do with those very cool looking red stripes on these Star Destroyers.

This is something that the Empire doesn’t do. They don’t mark their ships with these sorts of markings. That’s very much a Resistance thing to do.

So, the other possibility is that these Star Destroyers are actually part of the Resistance, and they’ve been commandeered by freedom fighters across the galaxy, possibly hiding in the Unknown Regions.

Either way, I’m pretty excited to see these Star Destroyers in action in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

The movie is only a few days away from release, and I cannot wait to see it.
