Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Won’t Reveal The Faces Of The Knights Of Ren

Many people have been very excited to see The Knights Of Ren in J.J. Abrams’ upcoming Star Wars movie, Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker.

They were first introduced in Abrams’ previous Star Wars film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, yet we haven’t seen them since.

They were a pretty cool group of supposed Force users, and they wore cool masks, much like Kylo Ren did.

Kylo has since abandoned the mask after he was told to remove it by Supreme Leader Snoke. He then proceeded to smash the mask, which was a callback to his grandfather’s headgear, in anger.

However, it looks like his Knights Of Ren won’t be removing their masks in the upcoming movie, Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker.

This news comes after the release of a new Star Wars book, Ultimate Star Wars New Edition.

This book features a small entry on the Knights of Ren which reads as follows:

“The Knights of Ren are Kylo Ren’s most deadly and mysterious servants. With their bodies encased in rusty, battered armour and their faces permanently concealed beneath ominous masks – echoing that of the new Supreme Leader himself – even their species remains a mystery.”

The passage continues: “What is obvious to anyone who witnesses them in action is that their fighting skills and martial prowess are without equal. Each Knight is armed with a lethally effective and unique weapon, suited to either long-range or close-quarter combat.”

Many fans might be disappointed by this news. I myself would have liked to have seen the men behind the masks.

Yet, just take your mind back to Boba Fett in the original trilogy. He was so much cooler when you didn’t see his face. The prequels kind of ruined the mystique of the character for me.

Sometimes it’s best just to keep things a secret.

I also suggested that Matt Smith could be playing one of the Knights of Ren. It’s been rather confusing whether he’s going to be in the movie or not.

The former Doctor Who actor claimed that he wasn’t in the film, but he was credited as being in the movie. Perhaps he will be, but we just never get to see his face.

We’re going to have to wait until December 19th when it comes to UK cinemas.
