Possible SPOILERS for Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker to follow. You’ve been warned!
Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker isn’t too far away now and the rumour mill has been hard at work for quite a while now.
People are desperate to know what will happen in the last film of this latest Star Wars trilogy, and websites have been coming up with all sorts of wild theories.
One of those sites is MakingStarWars.net, however, they do often get them right and they’ve recently posted a whole load of new spoilers regarding what will happen with Palpatine in The Rise of Skywalker.
According to the Star Wars fan site, Palpatine and Rey will face off in what will be a huge battle between the two force users.
I’ve added the video they made below in which they explain exactly what they saw of the upcoming Star Wars movie.

This battle will take place in yet another throne room and will see Palpatine in a black and red robe shooting Force lighting towards Rey. The young Jedi will be trying to deflect the attack with the help of Anakin and Leia’s lightsabers.
The interesting thing here is the addition of Leia’s lightsaber. Personally, this is the first I’ve heard of Leia having a lightsaber, yet according to MakingStarWars.net, Rey will be using both the Skywalker sabres.
The site also describes this moment in the movie as The Rise of Skywalker’s money shot, so it should be one to look out for if the site is to be believed.

The report also goes on to say that Matt Smith will not appear in the movie as Palpatine. There’s been a lot of rumours surrounding who the former Doctor Who actor will be playing in the movie, and many people believe he’ll be somehow connected to Palpatine.
He could end up being some sort of puppet for the Sith Lord, which would be rather interesting to see.
We’ve seen these new films explore the Force in different ways, especially in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, so many they could add possession into the mix.
