Star Wars: The Last Jedi’s has a new international trailer which shows off some new footage of Rey, Kylo, Poe and C3PO from the movie that wasn’t in the previous trailers. Check it out below.
Can you believe it?! Star Wars: The Last Jedi is only 43 days away. You can get the exact countdown via this website. It feels like a while back when we were all getting excited to see J.J. Abrams’ The Force Awakens, which completely rejuvenated the franchise. Since then we’ve had Gareth Edwards’ Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which was good but not quite as memorable as The Force Awakens. It was a nice intermission for what is the Star Wars film we all really want to see, Rian Johnson’s The Last Jedi. We recently saw the first official trailer for the movie, which posed more questions than answers. Now there’s a new international trailer, which is very similar to the one we had over here, yet it has a few more shots of Rey, Kylo Ren, Poe Dameron and C3PO. Check it out below, courtesy of CBM.
The international trailer follows the same structure as the previous trailer and has all the same lines of dialogue, yet there are some neat shots of Rey (Daisy Ridley), Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) and C3PO (Anthony Daniels). It doesn’t answer any of the questions we have about the movie. Why does Luke Skywalker think the Jedi should end? Which side of the Force will Rey end up on? Is Kylo Ren a double agent? Who is Supreme Leader Snoke? Has Luke turned to the Dark Side (probably not)? There are plenty more questions to be answered. Even though Rian Johnson warned us not to watch the trailer for fear of spoilers, I honestly don’t think it spoiled anything. The trailer just gave us a small glimpse at what’s to come, and a good glimpse at that.
