Star Trek 4 Is Reportedly In Danger Of Losing Another Director

There are rumours that Paramount Pictures and Noah Hawley are close to breaking point on Star Trek 4 and that the movie could lose another director.

When Paramount announced that Noah Hawley would be making the next Star Trek movie, I was both ecstatic and slightly confused.

Hawley doesn’t really strike me as the type of director Paramount Pictures might want to put at the helm of this franchise.

He’s experienced as far as TV shows go, but he hasn’t directed a feature-length blockbuster yet.

His ideas are also pretty out there, yet I have no doubt he’d make a great movie.

I would have thought that Paramount might be rather trepidatious about putting someone as brave and as adventurous as Hawley at the helm of the Star Trek franchise.

So, I wasn’t very surprised to learn that Paramount Pictures and Noah Hawley might be close to breaking-point on Star Trek 4

We Got This Covered’s sources have claimed that Hawley might be about to exit the project.

Apparently, it all comes down to the movie’s cast.

Paramount Pictures reportedly wants Chris Pine and the old cast to return.

However, Hawley has other ideas and wants to make a new movie with a new cast.

In all honesty, I’m not surprised to hear that this is where both parties stand.

Paramount knows that people like Pine and the current Star Trek cast.

However, Hawley supposedly wants to start afresh and build something different, adjacent to the current Star Trek franchise.

What do you think? Will Noah Hawley end up leaving Star Trek 4 and will the project be brought back to square one?
