President Donald Trump Is Apparently A Huge Fan Of Todd Phillips’ Joker Movie

Joker’s a pretty good movie, at least according to the majority of the critics and the money it’s been making at the box office. But also apparently according to the President of the United States of American, Donald Trump.

Yep, you read that correctly. You would have thought that Trump’s got more important things to deal with than watch movies, but it’s been revealed he held a screening of Todd Phillips’ Joker at the White House.

This was revealed by American journalist Shimon Prokupecz on Twitter, who revealed that Trump had a screening of Joker at the White House.

Here’s what he wrote in full: “If you’re wondering what Trump was doing last night, and I know you are: President Trump had people over for a viewing of The Joker movie Saturday night, a White House official tells CNN.”

Given everything that’s currently happening to Trump, it does seem like a strange time to hold such an event at the White House.

A senior White House official later revealed that Trump’s “family, friends, and some staff” were in attendance and that Trump liked the movie”.

However, he probably won’t be in there for much longer. Might as well make the most of it by holding a screening of the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time.

Joker’s just crossed the $1 billion mark at the box office, and it looks set to catch Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight’s box office total.

The film’s success has been incredible and really unexpected. To think that Warner Bros. Pictures’ executives didn’t even want Phillips to make the movie.

They must be very happy that Phillips went ahead and made the movie despite only having $55 million to make the picture.

To put that into context, Paramount Pictures have spent $125 million on the Sonic The Hedgehog movie.

It’s a pretty crazy world we live in right now, but at least we all got to see Joker, as did President Donald Trump.
