Percy Jackson Author Reveals He Hasn’t Watched The Movies And He Never Will

The author of the Percy Jackson books, Rick Riordan has revealed that he’s never watched the Fox movies and he plans on never watching them.

It was revealed a few weeks back that Disney would be making a new Percy Jackson TV show.

This new show is going to be coming to Disney Plus and each season will cover one of the books.

There are five Percy Jackson books in total, which means we should end up getting five seasons.

This news was revealed by the books’ author, Rick Riordan.

However, this isn’t the first time Percy Jackson has been adapted for the screen.

Fox made two movies, and Rick revealed via Twitter recently that he’s never watched those movies.

Rick actually revealed that he also never plans on watching them, which sounds a bit harsh.

Here’s what he said on Twitter about the Percy Jackson movies:

Well, to you guys, it’s a couple hours entertainment. To me, it’s my life’s work going through a meat grinder when I pleaded with them not to do it. So yeah. But it’s fine. All fine. We’re gonna fix it soon

Finally, I still have not seen the movies, and don’t plan on ever doing so. I judge them from having read the scripts, because I care most about the story. I certainly have nothing against the very talented actors. Not their fault. I’m just sorry they got dragged into that mess.

Honestly, it sounds like he really hated what 20th Century Fox did with his books.

Hopefully,  Disney will treat his work with a little more respect and we’ll end up with a great new show.
