Neil Gaiman Wants To Write A Doctor Who Episode For Jodie Whittaker

Neil Gaiman has revealed that he wants to write an episode of Doctor Who for Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor which sounds like a great idea.

The last season of Doctor Who didn’t get the best reviews in the world.

However, it seems to be the common consensus that Jodie Whittaker isn’t the reason why the season wasn’t great.

A lot of it has to do with the writing and the direction they’ve opted to take the show in.

Fans haven’t really appreciated it, yet I think Doctor Who fans can all see Jodie’s potential as the Doctor.

One of the biggest writers around, Neil Gaiman, has now revealed he would love to write an episode of the show for Jodie Whittaker.

Neil Gaiman revealed this during an interview with Digital Spy.

Here’s what the writer had to say about it:

Everything to do with anything about Doctor Who is always about time. I love The Doctor. I think Jodie Whittaker is a fabulous Doctor. On the one hand, I’d love to write for her, but on the one hand, I really, really, really wanted to write something for Peter Capaldi, and never got there because I was writing and making Good Omens through the Peter Capaldi years. So, you never know. With luck, I’ll write something for Jodie, and if it isn’t for Jodie, maybe it’ll be the next Doctor down the line.

Gaiman has written two episodes of the show before.

He wrote two episodes for the show when Matt Smith was the doctor.

They are 2011’s critically acclaimed The Doctor’s Wife and 2013’s slightly less critically acclaimed Nightmare in Silver.
