Here Are 4 Ways Michael Keaton’s Batman Could End Up Being In The Flash Movie

So, it’s been revealed that Michael Keaton will be turning up as Batman in The Flash movie, and we were wondering how that might end up happening.

There has been a lot of time dedicated to trying to work this out, but I thought I might have my own crack at it.

So, yeah, Michael Keaton is reportedly returning to play ‘Batman’ in The Flash movie.

This movie is being directed by Andy Muschietti who directed the two It movies.

He’s a pretty solid director and I’m looking forward to seeing what he does with The Flash film.

Anyway, The Flash film seems to finally have a director attached who’s actually going to make this film.

There have been so many directors attached to it, it’s just nice to know that someone is going to helm the movie.

So, back to Michael Keaton. He’s reportedly going to be returning as Batman, which is huge news.

He played Batman in the Tim Burton movies and is still one of my favourite versions of the character.

However, how is this going to work?

Ezra Miller’s Flash already has his Batman in Ben Affleck.

Here are four ways I thought Michael Keaton’s Batman might turn up in the movie.

The Flash will go to another Earth via the Multiverse

This is the most accepted answer to this question.

It almost seems certain at this point that this Flash movie is going to explore the Multiverse.

There were reports that this is going to be a Flashpoint movie, and Muschietti might want to take elements from that comic for his film.

One of the elements I think he’ll take is the Multiverse.

This means Miller’s Flash might end up going into the Multiverse and then lost in another Earth.

He’ll end up seeking Batman out for help and that might be where Michael Keaton comes in.

Barry Allen might have ended up in the Burton Batman-verse where Keaton is still operating as Batman.

Incidentally, there have also been rumours that this Flash movie might lead into a Batman Beyond film, which I am desperate to see.

Michael Keaton will be playing an older version of Ben Affleck’s Batman

Another possibility is that Michael Keaton is playing a sort of older version of Ben Affleck’s Batman.

We’ve seen them recast roles before in the MCU and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them do the same thing in the DCEU.

Keaton would be coming back to a role he knows and understands.

Audiences would also be more willing to accept Keaton as Batman given the fact he’s already played him.

But, why would this Flash movie have an older Batman, you ask?

Well, Barry might end up running so fast that he runs into the future by accident which would make Batman a bit older.

Keaton’s Batman could end up helping Flash to get back to his own time.

Michael Keaton’s Batman will be the one lost on the wrong Earth

Another possible way Keaton’s Batman might turn up in The Flash movie is that he’s the one who’s stuck on the wrong Earth.

This would be the same Batman we saw in the Tim Burton movies.

He might have been working with the Justice League on his Earth and ended up getting lost in the Multiverse.

Then The Flash would have to help Keaton’s Bruce Wayne to get back to his own Earth.

This would be an interesting twist on the Flashpoint story and would open the DCEU up to the Multiverse.

We could then end up seeing all the different versions of Batman meet in what would be a Batman: Into The Batman-Verse type movie.

I would love to see that!

Imagine getting to watch a movie in which Keaton, Christian Bale, Ben Affleck and Robert Pattinson all turn up as Batman.

My fourth and final idea of who Michael Keaton might turn up in The Flash movie is that he’s not actually playing Batman.

I was thinking long and hard about this one.

Then I thought, “What if he’s not playing Batman at all and this whole thing has been a ruse?”

“What if Michael Keaton is actually playing Bruce Wayne’s father, Thomas Wayne?”

This would tie in quite nicely with the rumours that this Flash movie is going to be an adaptation of Flashpoint.

The Flash would go into the Multiverse and end up on the Earth where Thomas Wayne ended up being Batman.

So, yeah, I suppose Keaton would still be playing Batman.

But, it wouldn’t be the version we thought he would be playing.

I actually really like the idea and the more I think about it, the better it gets.

Keaton’s got that edge to him which would make him a perfect Thomas Wayne as Batman.

In the comic, he’s even more extreme than Bruce Wayne’s Batman and I think Keaton would be great at that.

What do you make of these ideas?

How do you think Michael Keaton will feature as Batman in The Flash movie?
