Mark Ruffalo Wants Hulk To Become More Of A Mentor In Future MCU Movies

Mark Ruffalo has been playing Hulk (a.k.a. Bruce Banner) for quite some time now, and it seems as though the actor wants his Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) character to be expanded further.

Hulk’s future is a bit uncertain at the moment, however, he has gone through an interesting transformation after Avengers: Endgame having become Professor Hulk.

Hulk now has the intelligence of Banner and the bulk of Hulk, which is the perfect combination, and Mark Ruffalo seems to think this will lead into the character having a more important role within the Avengers moving forward.

Ruffalo recently spoke about the future of the Hulk in the MCU during an interview alongside Kevin Feige (via ComicBook.com), and the actor revealed he’d like his character to become more of a guru moving forward.

“I’d like to see him hang out with some of the new folks, you know?” Ruffalo said.

“Maybe be like a guru to some of the younger ones.”

It would make sense to make Professor Hulk more of a mentor moving forward, especially now that he’s probably the smartest person in the Avengers now that Tony Stark is gone.

It’ll be interesting to see how he interacts with the younger Avengers. I would love to see him get to have more scenes with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.

So far, Mark Ruffalo has played the Hulk in six films in the MCU and the character’s appeared in seven having been played first by Edward Norton in The Incredible Hulk.

It’s about time to give him a bigger role in the MCU.
