Liam Neeson Could Return As Qui-Gon Jinn In A Future Star Wars Project

There are rumours circling the Internet that Disney and Lucasfilm could be looking to bring the Jedi Master, Qui-Gon Jinn (played by Liam Neeson) himself back in a future Star Wars project.

Could this really be true? I’m of the belief that Qui-Gon Jinn is the most interesting character to come from the Star Wars prequels, and it was devastating to see him be brutally killed by Darth Maul (the second best character from the Star Wars prequels).

Anyway, according to We Got This Covered’s sources Lucasfilm and Disney are looking into ways they might be able to bring Liam Neeson back as Jinn in a future Star Wars project.

However, the outlet noted that their sources didn’t know whether this might be in the movies, a TV show or even a video game.

I have to say, this bit of news seems a little bit vague to me, but with the Obi-Wan Kenobi TV series coming to Disney Plus, I thought it could be something that Disney might be looking into.

As I mentioned before, Jinn was a hugely popular character, and there’s a lot of backstory they could explore in a TV show, and I’m pretty sure Neeson would be up for returning.

Could Liam Neeson make a return as Qui-Gon Jinn?

That said, he’s a lot older now than he was in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, however, they’re pretty good a de-ageing actors nowadays.

They’ve done it with the likes of Carrie Fisher and even Peter Cushing in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, however, they both had small parts.

If Disney were to make a Qui-Gon Jinn TV show with a de-aged Liam Neeson that would end up being rather expensive, and viewers might end up being put off by the overuse of CGI on making Neeson look younger.

However, the technology’s getting very good, and these days it’s getting harder to tell.
