La Révolution Is The Horror Series You Should Watch This Halloween On Netflix

La Révolution Season 1 has just dropped on Netflix and I’m here to explain why this series is the horror show you should watch on Netflix this Halloween.

There is a whole load of stuff you can watch on streaming this Halloween.

Netflix just released The Haunting Of Bly Manor for instance, and that’s a great show.

There are also loads of other horror movies you can catch on Netflix.

However, there’s one show that’s just dropped that I think is much better than the rest.

That show is the French series, La Révolution.

Let me explain what it’s about and why I think it’s worth watching.

La Révolution Season 1 on Netflix is a terrific horror series

First off, let’s start with the show’s premise.

Here’s the show’s synopsis:

1787, France. While investigating a series of mysterious murders, Joseph Guillotin – the future inventor of the world famous ‘Guillotine’ – uncovers an unknown virus: the Blue Blood. The disease, quickly spreads amongst the French aristocracy, driving them to murder ordinary people and soon leads to a rebellion… What if the French Revolution didn’t happen the way we were told?

Sounds interesting, doesn’t it?

It stars Vikings star Gaia Weiss as Marianne, Doudou Masta as Oka and Lionel Erdogan as Albert Guillotin.

Forget The Haunting Of Bly Manor, La Révolution is the horror show you should watch

So, this new Netflix show is a really strange and I would argue fascinating retelling of the French revolution.

It’s a horrific version involving Aristocrat zombies.

Who wouldn’t want to watch something like this at Halloween time?

I know I would, and I did.

I binge-watched the whole show in one evening, and now I can’t wait for Season 2.

It’s far more interesting and also, I would argue, far spookier than Bly Manor.

I really like the idea of taking a historical event and changing it for a specific genre.

Just look at Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds.

That was a brilliant movie which turns history on its head in a really interesting way.

That’s what Netflix’s new French show, La Révolution has done and to great effect.

Will there be a Season 2?

It’s the sort of show that might not get as much publicity as it deserves.

There are so many shows like this, especially on Netflix.

They’re not brilliant at really promoting their shows that aren’t the huge hitters.

I’m talking of shows like Stranger Things, the Money Heist, the Emily In Paris

However, this new Netflix show deserves to be talked about more, which is why I’m talking about it here, on Small Screen.

So, I would tell you guys, if you’re interested in horror and the French Revolution, to go and watch this really fascinating new show.

Hopefully, there’ll be enough interest in the show and Netflix will greenlight a Season 2.

I was intrigued by the storyline. The costumes were fabulous! The horror elements were perfect. The last couple episodes were too predictable, and some of the acting began to lose believability, but it kept me hooked to the end. I’ll probably watch season 2 to see how they finish it up.

Just found this and am totally hooked and intrigued.Totally harsh and gory but it certainly swept me away by the scenes of poverty and I will be binge watching .
