What’s going to happen to the Fantastic Four now that Marvel Studios has the movie rights back from 20th Century Fox? Well, I’m pretty sure they’re going to make a Fantastic Four movie, and it looks like they may have already set their sights on an actor to play Mr Fantastic (a.k.a. Reed Richards), and that person seems to be John Krasinski.
You may not have known that John Krasinski was one of the actors in the running to play Captain America before Chris Evans was cast. There are images of him in the suit and everything.
That role eventually went to Chris Evans, and many people before watching Jack Ryan would have looked at that possible bit of casting and said: “What on Earth was Marvel Studios thinking?”
Well, Jack Ryan’s on its second season now, and people aren’t thinking that about Krasinski any more. Much the opposite. Marvel fans are desperate for the actor to be cast in a Marvel movie, and it looks like they’ve already chosen who he should play.
Many fans are convinced Krasinski should play Mr Fantastic in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There’s plenty of fan art popping up of the actor as Reed Richards and he really does look good in the Fantastic Four suit.

Krasinski really beefed up in order to play Jack Ryan, and he’s in incredible shape now. Some may say he’s in ‘Marvel shape’.
Well, it seems as though the artists at Marvel Comics also think he would make a great Mr Fantastic as the character in the latest comics bears an undeniable resemblance to Krasinski.
Will this play a part when they come to cast the role? I’m thinking that it definitely will. Marvel’s heroes in the comics have had a tendency of looking like their MCU counterparts, and Krasinski as Richards just makes sense.
All that’s left to do is cast the rest of the Fantastic Four, and the first name that comes to mind is Emily Blunt as Susan Storm.
I wouldn’t even be surprised if they get Krasinski to direct after he showed how good he was behind the camera with A Quiet Place.
