Jeff Goldblum Reveals What Ian Malcolm’s Been Up To Up Until Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Jeff Goldblum will be in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and he has teased what Dr Ian Malcolm has been doing since The Lost World: Jurassic Park.

Jeff Goldblum is hard at work promoting his upcoming movie Thor: Ragnarok, yet people are already starting to ask him questions about another big franchise that he’s confirmed to be a part of. I’m talking about Jurassic World (duh). It’s official, Jeff Goldblum will be returning as Dr Ian Malcolm in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and people want to know firstly, what he’s been up to since the last time we saw him in the franchise, which was in The Lost World, and how he would feel about what’s been going on in the ‘Jurassic World’ universe vis à vis more dinosaur creationism. Check out his answer in the video below, courtesy of the Radio Times’ YouTube page.

“Ian Malcolm, yes, might be back in this one,” Goldblum teased in his signature style. “And he might have something to say about the current confluence of circumstances around the use and MISUSE of technology. With some wry irony, but some deep, wise, passionate conviction, he might! He might. And he might put on a nice dark bit of clothing here and there. A bit of tinted glass maybe.”

He was then asked to comment on what the world’s sexiest and most stylish Doctor has been up to in the meantime. “He opened a jazz club probably, and he’s been playing every Wednesday, at a place called Rockwell. He calls it Rockwell.” Well, one thing’s for sure, Dr Ian Malcolm does know how to ‘Rock well’.

Production of Jurassic World: Fallen Kindom (shall we just call it Jurassic World 2 for short) is now complete apart from a few pickup shots that be done during post-production, which they are now hard at work on.

Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and B.D. Wong will all be returning in their respective roles and Rafe Spall, Tobey Jones and James Cromwell are also onboard. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is being helmed by Spanish director, Juan Antonio García Bayona, who’s given us such gems as The OrphanageThe Impossible and most recently, the wonderful A Monster Calls.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is set for release on June 22nd, 2018.
