James McAvoy And Bill Hader Might Be Joining It: Chapter 2

James McAvoy and Bill Hader are apparently in talks to star in the follow up to Andrés Muschietti horror hit It, which for now we’ll refer to as It: Chapter 2.

It was one of 2017’s biggest box office hits, and it came as a bit of a surprise to many since the film’s production wasn’t the smoothest one ever, and horror films don’t tend to make a great deal of cash in cinemas. However, Andrés Muschietti’s Stephen King adaptation delighted cinema audiences everywhere and a sequel was put into production pretty quickly afterwards. Warner Bros. was actually so confident with the movie that they teased It: Chapter 2 after the film’s credits, which was a bold yet effective move.

People started immediately speculating who could play the adult versions of the film’s characters in the sequel and one of the names that came up straight away was Jessica Chastain for Beverly Marsh which has since been confirmed. However, the others aren’t so easy to cast, yet it looks like the studio already has two more actors lined up for the movie.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, James McAvoy and Bill Hader are in talks to star in It: Chapter 2. It’s said that Mcavoy could be playing the adult Bill Denbrough, who’s the leader of The Loser’s Club and was played by Jaeden Lieberher in the first movie. Hader is being considered for the role of Richie Tozier, the smart-mouthed joker who was played by Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard.

Both McAvoy and Hader would work perfectly in these roles, and hopefully, Warner Bros. will get them to sign on the dotted line pretty soon. Both are well accomplished and talented actors and along with Chastain, It: Chapter 2’s cast is looking very good indeed.
