Robert Downey Jr. Remembers One Of The Last Times He Saw Stan Lee

Iron Man star, Robert Downey Jr,, is always a good one for a story, and he recently revealed an interesting tale about one of the last times he saw Stan Lee.

The Marvel movies star was on The Howard Stern Show and he revealed that it took place on the set of Captain America: Civil War.

Robert Downey Jr. went on to reveal how Stan Lee came to film his cameo for the movie, and he revealed that he nailed the scene on his very first attempt.

“One of the last times I saw him we were shooting Civil War, and his cameo that day, was he’s I think a UPS delivery man,” Downey told Howard Stern.

“And he has a great line, he goes ‘I have a package for Tony Stank.'”

“That was one of the last times I saw him and the crazy thing was, he said that on the first take and he nailed it,” he added.

He also revealed that Stan Lee started to confuse Robert for Tony Stark as the years went by. He played Tony for over a decade, so it’s natural that Stan would get the two mixed up.

“And they go, ‘Alright resetting, let’s do it again.’ And after that he started saying, ‘I have a package for Robert…’ And I started [thinking] oh my God, it’s wild that even the guy who created the character thinks of me in a moment where he’s talking about the character,” Downey Jr. said.

“And I think this is so meta, Stan Lee is forgetting who I am in this moment,” he finished.
