Marvel Studios Reportedly No Longer Looking At Hailee Steinfeld For Hawkeye TV Show

Marvel Studios is working hard on making some new TV shows for Disney Plus and one of those shows in the upcoming Hawkeye series.

However, the series is in a state of flux at the moment. We really don’t know what’s happening with the Hawkeye series.

We’d heard rumours that Marvel Studios is looking at Hailee Steinfeld for the show’s lead role.

The show will feature Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton, but the show’s actual lead will be Kate Bishop and they were looking at Steinfeld for the role.

However, Jeremy Conrad (a fan Marvel movie and TV show scooper) is reporting that Marvel is looking at other actors fro the role.

Conrad isn’t saying who Marvel is auditioning for the role, however, the Marvel superfan has suggested that Disney is “going to meet with a couple of actresses” in the near future.

“Both have starred in movies, one co-started [sic] in a big-budget sci-fi/fantasy film a couple of years ago, and both would make a great Kate Bishop if things don’t work out with Hailee,” Conrad writes.

“I will say that neither of them are anyone the Internet has been fan casting.”

As for Steinfeld, it seems as though her contracts with Apple TV+ seem to be the primary issue.

Steinfeld herself cast doubt her being in the series when she said back in November.

She said: “That’s not something that’s necessarily happening. We’re going to wait and find out, I guess.”

“I think generally speaking, this sort of experience has prepared me for working in this sort of space,” the star added.

“So whatever opportunity might present itself in this space, I do think I will be able to tackle it, now that I’ve had some experience under my belt.”

Hawkeye is expected to land on Disney Plus in 2021, yet an actual release date hasn’t been revealed yet.
