Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3: James Gunn Reveals The Title Of The Third Guardians Movie

James Gunn was asked on Twitter what the third Guardians Of The Galaxy movie will be called and rather unsurprisingly it’s Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3.

To be honest, I’m not quite sure how ‘newsworthy’ this is, but people are writing about it, so I thought, “why not do an article about the third Guardians of the Galaxy movie?” The very first Guardians movie was a real breath of fresh air for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it could be argued that without James Gunn’s movie and it’s incredible success, we wouldn’t have seen the likes of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok and certainly not Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Guardians was something different to what came before it. It had a completely different tone which was then adopted by the subsequent movies in the MCU. Feige allowed Taika Waititi to let rip with Thor: Ragnarok’s humour because of the positive way people reacted to the jokes in the first Guardians film.

Gunn is currently working on the script to the third and what might be final Guardians movie, but up until now, we haven’t had an official title. Gunn was asked whether the third movie would be Guardians 3 or Guardians of the Galaxy.mp3, the director replied with the answer. Surprise, surprise. It’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. No prizes for guessing that one. Now, being able to guess the title correctly for Star Wars: Episode IX is a very different kettle of fish. [I really like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, but I’ve suggested a few more in this article.]

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be out in cinemas in 2020, but there’s no official release date yet. Did you think that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 would be called anything but that? Let us know in the comments below.
