Watch George Lucas React To Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Final Trailer

Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker’s trailer dropped yesterday and it kind of broke the Internet. I wrote a whole load of articles about it, but one thing we didn’t get to see was George Lucas’ reaction to the movie.

I might have got a bit carried away with the amount of Star Wars content I published yesterday, but it’s not every day you get to see a new Star Wars trailer, and yesterday’s one was a pretty good one.

Anyway, back to the creator of Star Wars, the man who came up with the galaxy far, far away, and who started this franchise we all hold so dearly.

He sold the rights to Star Wars to Disney for $4.05 billion, which is a lot of money, but he’s said some things since then that have raised a few eyebrows.

George Lucas didn’t care much for The Rise Of Skywalker trailer

There was a point when he likened Disney to ‘white slavers’ which probably wasn’t the cleverest thing he’s ever said.

He’s since apologised for those comments, but it did have many people questioning – myself included – whether he likes these new movies or not.

Well, Collider posted a video yesterday in which they seemingly got George Lucas to react to The Rise Of Skywalker trailer.

I say seemingly because it’s not actually George Lucas reacting, it’s a deepfake. It is pretty obvious really, but the guy impersonating George Lucas has the voice down to a tee.

This George Lucas deepfake is perfect!

The person behind the George Lucas impression is Josh Robert Thompson, and he’s genuinely great.

I also love everything he says in this video and I honestly think a lot of this is how Lucas would react to the trailer.
