Star Wars: The Last Jedi’s Latest TV Spot Shows Some New Footage

A new extended TV spot for Star Wars: The Last Jedi shows some never-before-seen footage. Check it out below.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is so close we can taste it. It doesn’t quite feel real, but when has the release of a new Star Wars movie ever felt real? Short answer: never. In the lead-up to the movie coming to cinemas, Lucasfilm has been releasing a lot of TV spots – some may say too many – and there’s a new extra long one for us to feast our eyes on. Check it out in the video below.

Amongst some of the new shots is at the very beginning scene with Rey in which she decides to forgo training with her staff and pick up Luke’s (or Anakin’s) lightsaber. There’s also a shot of her cutting through a rock like it was mere butter with said lightsaber. There are also some extended shots of Poe and Finn but taken from scenes we have seen in previous trailers and TV spots.

One of the things I’m most excited for in The Last Jedi is getting to see more from Gwendoline Christie’s Captain Phasma who was very much maligned in The Force Awakens. The Chrome Trooper is such a cool look and Christie deserves much more screentime. Hopefully, her battle with Finn will be one to remember.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be in UK cinemas on December 14th, which is a day everybody should have marked down on their calendars. I know I have.
