Should Dwayne Johnson Replace Donald Trump As President? Does He Have A Chance?

There have been calls for Dwayne Johnson to run to be President later this year and beat Donald Trump, but is there a hope in Hell of that happening?

People have been demanding that Dwayne Johnson run for office for years now.

He’s always been very vocal about the current state of the world’s and especially the United States’ politics.

Johnson is also someone who’s always advocated good values: be nice to one another, work hard and love people.

His story is also basically the story of the American dream.

Johnson was someone who came from very little and managed to make a name for himself through hard work and a little bit of luck.

He was gifted with a big body, yet he used what he was given to his benefit and need up becoming one of the world’s biggest movie stars.

Would Dwayne Johnson be able to beat Donald Trump to the Presidency?

Johnson has always been someone I’ve looked up to, and I think a lot Americans also look up to the guy.

Who couldn’t look up to The Rock?

He’s the man that every man wants to be and the man that every woman wants to be with (and many men would also want to be with him).

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson basically is America, and I think every other country would be envious of the US’ new leader should he be elected.

So, it makes sense to have him run for the White House then, doesn’t it?

Well, yes and no. First off, I’ve never thought it was a particularly good idea to have celebrities run for office.

Look at Trump. The guy was a ‘businessman’ (I use that term very loosely in Trump’s case).

Yet, what Trump really was was that guy off of The Apprentice. He was, and still is, a celebrity.

He’s a man with an ego problem who’s always wanted to be an actor but never had the talent.

So, he settled to follow in his father’s footsteps, yet do a much worse job than he did at business.

He basically conned a large section of the United States in voting for him.

I would have much more faith in someone like Johnson, who’s actually built himself from the ground up, as opposed to Trump who constantly claims he did, but we all know that’s a load of rubbish.

One of the things that really got people talking about Johnson for the White House was a video he posted on his social media channels.

He posted a video in which he asked the leader of the United States where is he.

This video was a response to Trump’s terrible reaction to the murder of George Floyd and his ambivalence towards the Black Lives Matter movement.

The eight-minute long speech of Johnson’s was light years ahead of anything said by the current President.

It was, in many ways, presidential.

Here’s the caption he accompanied the video with:

Our country is crippled and on its knees, begging to be heard and pleading for change.
Where is our compassionate leader?
The leader who unifies and inspires our country at our most painful time when we need it the most.
The leader who steps up and takes full accountability for our country and embraces every color in it.
The leader who picks our country up off its knees and says you have my word – we got this – and together, change will happen.
Where are you?
Because we’re all here.
Maybe one day that galvanizing leader will emerge.
Either way, the process to change has already begun.

If Johnson were to run, he’d have to run as an Independent now, yet I do believe his politics are actually quite centrist.

I’ve heard rumours that if Johnson were to ever run, he would have done it under the Republican banner.

However, I don’t believe that’s really an issue any more as far as the US is concerned.

Both sides have shown they have huge weaknesses they need to fix.

The fact that Joe Biden is the Democratic candidate is very depressing, and the way his candidacy played out was embarrassing.

It’s a shame that we can’t have someone like Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren run against Trump.

However, if you threw Johnson into the mix, then you’d have a fascinating race, and I think Johnson would really stand a good chance.

He’d have the money behind him (the guy is loaded). He’s also proven to be a very good public speaker and I think he’d give Trump a run for his money.
