Scott Derrickson Voices His Support For Sam Raimi To Direct Doctor Strange 2

It’s been revealed that Sam Raimi is in talks with Marvel Studios to direct Doctor Strange 2.

Doctor Strange 2, also known as Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, was going to be directed by Scott Derrickson.

However, Derrickson left the project due to creative differences.

It was then reported that Derrickson was actually fired from the project.

Yet, that’s still just speculation as far as I’m concerned since there’s been no official confirmation that was the case.

Derrickson is still on-board the Doctor Strange sequel as an executive producer.

Scott Derrickson took to Twitter the other day to voice his support for Sam Raimi to direct Doctor Strange 2.

Derrickson wrote: “I’ve worked with Sam Raimi. One of the nicest people I’ve known in the film business, and as a director, a true living legend. What a great choice to take over Doctor Strange.”

It seems like Derrickson and Raimi are very good friends.

I really do believe that Sam Raimi would make an excellent director for Doctor Strange 2.

Raimi’s a bit of a legend as far as comic book movies are concerned.

He made the first Spider-Man movie back in 2002 which could be considered to be the first good comic book movie.

He’s also a legend in horror movie circles having made the Evil Dead trilogy.

What do you make of this news? Would Sam Raimi make a good director for Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness?
