Deadpool Star T.J. Millers Says A Deadpool 3 Is ‘Unnecessary’

T.J. Miller has been talking about whether or not Marvel needs to make a Deadpool 3 movie, and it turns out he thinks they shouldn’t and actually claimed the movie would ruin what they did up to now with the franchise.

Miller, who played Weasel in Deadpool and Deadpool 2 was chatting on The Adam Carolla Show about Deadpool 3, and that’s when he compared the franchise to The Hangover trilogy and claimed that the third movie ruined the whole thing and he didn’t want to the same thing to happen to the Deadpool franchise.

Honestly, I kind of get where Miller is coming from, but I think it’s a bit of a stretch to compare The Hangover and Deadpool franchises.

Anyway, here’s what Miller had to say about the whole thing in full:

Because they’re doing X-Force, they haven’t decided if they want to do Deadpool 3. And to be honest, I almost would rather they didn’t and here’s why. The Hangover 2was a lot of fun. The Hangover 3 felt like a cash grab… I think Deadpool 2, we knocked it out of the park. I really think it ended up being great, and I was worried about that. So what if Deadpool 3 is eh? Then you just kind of look at the whole thing and that’s the one [that ruins it]?

As I mentioned before, I understand what Miller is trying to say here. It’s almost a case of quit while you’re ahead.

However, Deadpool 3 and X-Force offer something very different to what The Hangover franchise did.

It’s an outlet for Marvel Studios to explore, and he’s forgetting that Deadpool is no longer with Fox, but now with Marvel Studios, and they’ve made some very good movies in the past.

They also take quality control very seriously, and they would ensure that Ryan Reynolds and writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick make something genuinely good and in tune with the rest of the Deadpool franchise.
