Deadpool 3 Could End Up Being A Prequel Set Earlier In The MCU Timeline

There are now rumours that Deadpool 3 might end up being a prequel movie and it will be set earlier on in the MCU timeline.

We still don’t really know what’s going on with Deadpool 3.

Ever since Disney acquired Fox, and along with it the rights to all their Marvel movies, there’s been radio silence from Marvel and Disney about what they’re going to do with those movie properties.

It’s pretty obvious that Marvel will just reboot the X-Men and Fantastic Four movie franchises.

However, what’s not so clear is what they’ll do with the Deadpool movie franchise.

The Ryan Reynolds-led movies have done really well at the box office.

There have been rumours that Kevin Feige wants Deadpool 3 to be PG-13 and a prequel.

These rumours come from We Got This Covered’s sources, so maybe take it with a pinch of salt.

Anyway, according to WGTC, Marvel wants to make Deadpool 3 a prequel set earlier on in the MCU timeline.

This is an interesting idea because it could end up solving a lot of the issues with the movie franchise.

Rather than have Deadpool be part of the main MCU timeline, it would happen before all the other movies.

That would explain why the other films didn’t tackle what was going on in the main MCU movies.
