Deadpool 2 And John Wick’s Director Shoots An Epic Snowball Fight On An iPhone

There have been some really interesting movies shot on iPhone over the last few years, and it looks like Deadpool 2 and John Wick’s director, David Leitch, has stepped things up a notch in that area.

I don’t usually cover iPhone adverts (this is the first one I’ve ever covered), however, it’s so interesting and so good that I just had to talk about it.

David Leitch, who directed movies such as Deadpool 2, John Wick, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw and Atomic Blonde, was asked by Apple to make an incredible action-based advert.

However, and here’s the catch, he had to shoot the whole thing on an iPhone 11 Pro, which is crazy if you look at the end result.

This advert, which is basically showing people the very best of what you can shoot on an iPhone 11 Pro, is an epic snowball fight in which kids engage in a rather tense battle.

What I really love about this advert is the fact that Leitch has remained true to his directorial style and yet he managed to make something tense, thrilling and fun with just an iPhone as his main camera.

It’s a real testament to what you can achieve on such a small device nowadays.

Now, I’m pretty sure they used a few tricks to get this film looking as professional as it does, but Apple and Leitch are adamant that the whole thing was shot on an iPhone.

Leitch used his trademark slow-motion shots in this epic snowball fight sequence, and it lends itself very well to the overall piece.

Have a look at Leitch’s Apple advert for yourselves and let me know what you think of it in the comments below.
