Colin Trevorrow Confirms Star Wars: Episode 9 Leaked Script Is Real

The Internet went a bit mad when Colin Trevorrow’s supposed Star Wars: Episode 9 script leaked online and people started wondering whether it was real.

First off, there was a lot of talk about whether Trevorrow’s script was better than J.J. Abrams’ and I’m going to be honest, I think it is.

Anyway, it’s now been confirmed that the Star Wars: Episode 9 script that leaked online was indeed Colin Trevorrow’s.

The writer and director revealed that the Star Wars: Duel of the Fates script was his via his Twitter account.

Have a look at what he had to say on the matter in his tweet below.

Along with the admission that the Star Wars: Episode 9 leaked script is the real one, he also revealed that he was never going to kill off R2D2, and he also shared some concept art for the movie.

It looks pretty darn good and I’m a bit sad that we’re never going to get to see Trevorrow’s vision for the final Star Wars movie in this new trilogy on the big screen.

I also much prefer the name Star Wars: Duel of the Fates to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, however, I can see why Lucasfilm and Abrams opted to make the movie they did.

It was in many ways a reaction to the negative feedback they got from a certain section of the Star Wars fandom after Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

It’s a shame that the rather toxic nature to Star Wars fandom has stopped us from getting what looked to be a really interesting final Star Wars movie.
