Chris Hemsworth Is Pretty Angry About Captain America Holding Thor’s Hammer

Avengers: Endgame was easily one of the most kickass films I’ve seen in a while. It was full of punching the air moments, including a moment when Captain America picks up Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir, and beat Thanos with it, but Chris Hemsworth wasn’t one of the people cheering.

When I was watching the film in the cinema there was a huge cheer when this happened. People had been waiting for this moment for a long time.

However, one person who didn’t care much for the scene was Thor actor, Chris Hemsworth. He was actually pretty angry about it.

He made his feelings clear during last weekend’s ACE Comic-Con in Chicago, where the Aussie Marvel actor was asked how he felt about Captain America getting to pick up Mjolnir (via CBR).

“Uh, pretty angry, yeah. I’m sick of people picking up that hammer, to be honest,” he joked.

“It’s playing with my toys, you know, it’s like ‘give me that’.”

The panel’s moderator then wanted to make sure their guest remained happy by complimenting Hemsworth on his acting ability since it didn’t come across in the movie as though he was angry.

“Yeah, thank you,” the actor replied. “I minded. Give it back, Cap. Have your little shield.”

Captain America also got to wield Stormbreaker!

He then added: “I haven’t seen him pick up Stormbreaker yet, though.”

This quip was then corrected by someone in the crowd who pointed out that Captain America and Thor do trade weapons on the battlefield, meaning that Cap did wield Stormbreaker for a little while.
